Graduating law school in 1992 from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, Attorney David A. Small began representing the State of Texas as an Assistant D.A. in the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.  Always in the trial division, Attorney Small became a Misdemeanor Chief Prosecutor  in the Dallas County Criminal Courts, then a Felony Prosecutor in the Dallas County District Courts. Attorney David A. Small has prosecuted cases from DWI to murder.


David A. Small left the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office to practice insurance defense and banking litigation with the firm Chapman & Reese, PC in 1994. There, Attorney Small handled complex civil litigation involving premises liability, employment, banking and trademark rights. 


For over fifteen (15) years, The Law Office of David A. Small has maintained a focus in the areas of entertainment and civil matters. Small has dedicated his practice to serving family and community. Prior to law school, Small enjoyed a successful career as a studio musician and recording artist. Attorney Small has combined his life’s passion with the practice of law.
